Glen Dye - Colour Coded - Blue - 6.5km - 170m climb - 1st by 6mins
Almost impossible to run. Unbearable heat of 29 degrees, lots of fallen branches and tree from recent winds, and tiredness from yesterday. Aimed for under an hour so I'm not too disappointed. Had to take my top off towards the end just because of the heat. Definitely the hottest weather for a while. Made 3 mins of mistakes on top of it at #8 where I didn't go far enough and got confused by clearings. Shot off in the wrong direction at #2 as well.

shoes: Asics Gel-DS Trainer 14(Road)

Seriously hot weather, had to stop quite a lot to drink and navigate. Had one long rest half way (8 mins) waiting to meet up with mum. Started with dad at rowan tree car park, down to the visitor centre, up Monymusk triangle to the base of Mither tap. Down to meet mum at the spring, then dad left to the car, and I went alone. Up Cairnsharron, up Oxen Craig, and back to Mither tap and down the packed walkers path. Down was almost slower than up as it was pretty much a ruined staircase.

Corsedardar Forest Sprint - 2.7km - 90m - 2nd
Running alright but in pain, muscles all exhausted and I don't know why.
Made a one minute mistake, half because I made a really silly error and the contol was almost invisible on the ground. Beaten by Josh by 9 seconds.
One nice 50m climb uphill leg, felt really good going up.

Absolutely knackered after yesterday. Felt like I was slowly plodding along in agony over my leg muscles. In reality I was actually keeping up quite a nice pace.

Crazy run. Ran with Rob Brookes (fastest person) until about 5km of climb when he sped off, leaving me to get to the top alone ahead of everyone else. Then at the top met a few short cutters and sped down ahead again. Underestimated the distance back down and completely burnt myself out doing 3:20s for the first half of decent. Got tailed by a bull towards the end too which sped me up a bit. Only stopped about 7 minutes, 3 of them being standing at the top, and the rest drinking/climbing over fences/navigating. Incredibly hot/humid weather made slowed me down and made me sweat a great amount. Tried to resist the water in my bag in case it would kill me (washing out all my salts).

Recovery, took it really easy. Hip and blisters a bit sore. Sunny and warm weather, probably shouldn't of gone in a thermal.
