Running 40:00 [3]

Garmin is wrecked beyond belief so just jogged along happily. taking a sharp right turn sends a sharp pain through my knee, so i'll avoid that. other than that all good baby

Running 45:00 [3]

Had a 1500word essay due today. i've known about it for 6 weeks so i started tuesday. as i stink at essays its taken all of my physical and metal power to do it and not just spend my time youtubing Old Spice commercials.

Had a run today for the first time it a while. If i had a running blog it'd be called 'everything always hurts' cause it does. that and the first half of the run was uphill, into a strong wind. apparently winds of 110km were clocked on the mountain, i was at water works so copped some strong gusts.

Had planned on going further but actually thought the trees would be losing banches, and i didnt fancy dodging that stuff.

Felt really average on this run, sore bones again which is not a good feeling. hopefully more running will strengthen them or something

Swimming intervals 50:00 [5] 1.6 km (31:15 / km)

Mean as interval session. 100m warm up then did 10 non stop reps of 25 fast, 25m recovery. few mins break and did that set again. another break and then another set. really felt good to get my heart rate up high

Swimming tempo 45:00 [4] 1.5 km (30:00 / km)

Found a session on the net for improving speed over distance. 500m, 400m, 300m, 200m, 100m as fast as i could without building up too much lactic acid.
Good swim, by the time i was doing the 200 & 100 i was aching.

You can see on yesterdays splits that i fatigued around the middle of the course. I was only 2-3 min behind scar till about control 14, then i just started making small errors and eventually a big 5min error on 23 which sent me to the back of the pack. Also didnt have the speed late in the race, the 1.25k running leg showed me as 1:30 behind the best time (cal)

Orienteering race 1:29:11 [3] 9.5 km (9:23 / km)

Good course set at Pitttwater today. Had alot of fun with my first run of this lenght in a month or two. and enjoyed the orienteering. Got tired around conrol 18-24 and made a few errors that blew my time up by an extra few minutes. including control 23? that i had to re-enter 3 times to get. Good fun though. quick swim then off to work.
feet felt fine, knees a bit sore from all the sand dunes
