Tassie Trail run #2
Run on mt wellington. 6km climb to start up followed by 3km decent. Felt really good on the up, calves weren't a problem. Downhill was going well but my heals felt pretty bruised from all the rocks. Cal and Sideburn man over took me on the down cause i'd been slow on the small loose rocks but i didnt end up too far behind them in the end.
Good run, would have liked a bit more length to it though. After all the recovery on the down and extra few k would have really tested the field

Fitted this inbetween uni and work. My calves are so sore, even walking hurt today. I think its from pounding downhill in yesterdays sprint session. Hopefully this loosened thim up for the weekend

Ran intervals along a single track at the waterworks. Did 6 laps of it with one min rest. Traveling south is alot harder, alot more hills and i really felt tired from the run, running north was not as hard but i tried harder to keep a fast pace over the narrow track and rocks.
North: 6.20, 6.40, 6.23. South: 5.47, 5.50, 6.07

Orienteering race 38:16 [3] 2.4 km (15:57 / km)

Not really a sprint, more of a short middle. I stunk at this. first control i was thrown by the scale and lost about 5min. got caught by callum who then went blasting off with lochie. Wearing road runners for this run was bad with the wet slippery rocks so i just took it easy, jogged around. Pretty lame
But when you jog you have time to notice things like the blood that was all over 2 of the controls in the last loop. i'm suprised we dont have some sort of blood testing in orienteering with the amount of blood spilt around the course

Garmin broken this weekend. Relay was my best run of the weekend, shame i was only versing Ian lawford and the senior girls...
Had fun on the course which is all the matters i guess.
