Orienteering 1:28:23 [3] 11.64 km (7:36 / km)

Pat saile had put out alot of tapes accross pittwater and set up some training excersices at pittwater. First up was a 4k long leg excersice without tracks marked on the map. I was first out and went really slow to 1, ended up getting caught by brea emma and marc as i was headed to the control circle. by control 2 i was on my own again and more comfortable with Pittwater and was able to choose when to run and when to slow (in some cases stop)

The second excersice was a set of 7 short orienteering courses, of 4-5 controls. I really enjoyed this but felt it would have been more fun and better experience if there were longer times between runners so no one got caught. On 3 of the 7 i felt my nav was great. on the others my nav was sloppy or non-existant on one or two legs. When i was the first out in the group or got to the front of the pack i was better, i worked for myself and stayed focused. when i was in a pack or could see marc or cal infront i was sloppy

Running 29:46 [3] 4.39 km (6:47 / km)

Ran back from the end of the orienteering intervals to the cars. Was going to do the 4k course in reverse but couldnt locate the finish (dont think it was taped?) so just ran back

Exercie bike 30:00 [3]

Morning ride before breaky
6 PM

Running 30:21 [3] 5.76 km (5:16 / km)

After playing cricket for a large chunk of the day i managed to get this run in as a bit of a recovery from yesterday. Legs actually felt fine, but a bit of orienteering this weekend so didnt want to do anything big this run. Alot of hill climb in the small 1.2k loop around my hood

Running 2:00:10 [3] 20.32 km (5:55 / km)

Went for the first long run since my plika knee problem. Its funny how much goes on in a long run- stitch, tired, no energy, spring in step, really fatigued, second wind, strong up hill, stitch, survive, survive.

Ran from sandy bay yhact club to the trugginni track via sandy bay beach. The trugg track was really hard, for a km or so i was reduced to 12min/k. Ran on a track i hadnt run before, turned back at an hour then ran up the track at 7min/k due to the inclination. The 12min/k accent became an 8min/k decent because it was so technical then the rest of the run i tried to keep the pace around a comfortable 5min/k

Strength 30:00 [1]

While watching UFC, did 10min on core 5min on back. then repeat

Running warm up/down 20:02 [3] 3.39 km (5:55 / km)

5 min before orienteering and 15ish after my run to collect controls
4 PM

Orienteering race 24:58 [5] 5.18 km (4:49 / km)

Wednesday run at 5 mile. Nice to change it up and run here for a mid week event. To do the long we only needed to get 13 of 15 controls. I overshot control 8 by not reading my description, other than that a good run
5 PM

Running 56:22 [3] 10.21 km (5:31 / km)

Went for a run after O. Went through the windy pine tree's along 5 mile along a small faint track that i really enjoy going along. ran out 30min and then turned and came back

Running race 38:57 [5] 10.0 km (3:54 / km)

Run the Bridge in hobart today. I realised that it was the first time i had run a 10k race without a hangover for more than a year. The run went well, I was hanging behind Karl and PatS for most of it. That wasnt a strategy- i just couldnt catch them on the flat or downs. On the hills I kept getting past Karl and even beat pat to the top of the bridge.

Really happy with the time cause i never really think of myselft as someone that i can run under 4 min/km rate as I only do it in intervals.

Running along and watching tonned, fake tanned, smooth legs running past me was a bit of a shock. I never realised how fast some football players could be...

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]

before the race a few laps of bellrieve oval and other such stuff. Felt like i was holding off a stitch in the warm up and kept that feeling for most of the run. having breakfast at 6 when the run was at 7 was a bad idea

Exercie bike 30:00 [3]

In the arvo. realised i hadnt done a ride all week.
