Running intervals 22:30 [5] 5.4 km (4:10 / km)

At the domain on the undulating jogging track. there is a 1600m marker so did 3x 1600 with 2min jog recovery in-between. haven't done much sprint work recently, or multiple training days in a row, so this was a hard one to start up. legs tired. ended up doing all 3 in a few seconds under or over 6min which is slow but i can handle that

Running warm up/down 22:13 [3] 4.4 km (5:03 / km)

good 10mins of warm up before and after ints

Swimming intervals 32:00 [4] 1.3 km (24:37 / km)

Did 100m warm up, then 20x (25m fast, 25m slow) then 200m cool down. Havent gone for a swim in ages so i was a bit slow and uneasy in the water

Running 1:32:42 [3]

Got up, feeling a bit seedy but it was a nice day so i ran from my friends house in west hobart to junction cabbin. i thought it'd easily take an hour or more, instead i was there in 47min. went a different route back so i'd take a bit longer. So dehydrated though, really hurt me. and i kicked a rock with my left foot which then hit my right ankle and hurt a tonne. small cut as a result of this incident

Running warm up/down 34:29 [3] 6.35 km (5:26 / km)

Did a good jog before and after the tempo session. Almost pulled the pin on the whole session before i started due to many aches and a stitch. I've lacked alot of athletic motivation due to uni holidays + no work. its making me just want to chill and play

Running tempo 20:00 [4] 5.0 km (4:00 / km)

okay i dont know how to use dads garmin yet, so it was on auto lap every mile. thus i dont know what my time for the 5k tempo was. from watch time it was about 1940. i was a bit worried about this session, i havent done anything fast for months. I really thought my body might collapse in retaliation, but it didnt. Felt happy to be turning my legs over fast again, the undulating track made the the run a good challange

Exercie bike 20:00 [3]

My bodys felt really sore since soccer sunday, muscles i havent used in ages are aching

Running 1:24:45 [3] 17.4 km (4:52 / km)

oh wow, this hurt alot. Ran with dad from bellrive to trammere bus stop, he has the new garmin so distance from that. Quads still feel like they have been used as a punching bag due to the soccer on sunday. everything hurt. havent felt this bad during a run for months. but what doesnt kill you only makes you stronger right

Football 1:30:00 [4]

Football with the round ball. Group of friends set up 'sunday bloody sunday soccer'. Bacically a kick round with people who we all sort of know. I miss playing soccer so much, so this was an awesome time for me. we lost 6-5, i scored once with my head and once from inside our half. So fun. ended up covered in mud as the pitch was water logged and i wasnt wearing boots

Running 2:00:06 [3]

Did paddy Sailes loop on the mountain, but started and finished at the springs. Had a flat track along snakes plains which was super muddy, then along pipeline, leaving the last 45min to conquor hills. Did the added silver falls loop, but also ran down a trail i'd never seen before to jacksons corner, and then straight back up- 15min. Decided against the mountain bike trail cause i had seen alot of riders around, instead ran shoebridge and lenah valley track back. 20min shorter than paddy's proper loop, but had an added 15min.

Exams done! so pissed off when one guy kept clicking his pen duing the whole exam. i would have given him a dirty glare to make him stop it but he was crying so i figured i'd let him off the hook

Note

Had an exam yesterday at 1. and one tomorrow at 9am and then saturday at 9am. such a cruel exam timetable. guarentees i'll be to wrecked to go to the sunday training session at pittwater.

Also just noticed that the next tassie trail run has an uphill finish like i requested but i cant go :( looks like such a fun loop too, starts uphill finished uphill

Running 1:20:35 [3]

Woke up at 4:30 for the 1-1 draw between england and USA. poor poor england goalie, suicide watch for that guy. was going to do a longer run but fell asleep after the game.
Ran from bellrive beach to trammere, up the hill through the suburb a bit. i want to find a way to the top of that hill, as yesterday took me to the top of some new hobart mountains, i'd like to try bag as many as possible.
Strong wind in the run. Freezing water to go for a swim in after. so cold i got an ice cream headache without the pleasent taste. Then straight off to 6hours of work

Running 2:00:05 [3]

Went to do this run yesterday but it was so cold and so windy that i thought it'd be dangerous.

Ran from telosa bike park up knights creek trail- that was very hard, alot of walking on such a steep graidient. very muddy too. did the 5k (approx) in 50 min. crossed over the river that provides water to glenorchy. Decided to go left when i got to the top and run the big bend trail toward Mt Wellington. The trail was flat so the running easy but it was exposed to the wind and weather at the top of the mountain. Some snow was falling and alot of ice was being blown from the trees and hitting me. Wanted to run to the top of mt wellington but i was worried i'd be caught in a storm.

Ran back from big bend to the east west trail. this followed along a mountain ridge behind glenorchy. ran down to the glenorchy tip then back to telosa park. had to go an extra 50m to get the 2hours up

Ran around the fun trails in mt nelson till it got dark and my tummy called me in for supper.
didnt bother with a rest day, although body is a bit sore, i had too much pent up stress form exam so just busted this badboy

Running long 2:52:34 [3] 37.0 km (4:40 / km)

Wow, its been study (atrphoy) week for me and i also got a stmoach bug from some dodge food. thus no running logged for 7 days. Attackpoint now assumes i dont know how to log and has put up helpful hints, thanks AP.

Did this run with dad as his last long one for marathon training. started at the bike track at the domain and ran past st virgils to a pond place where mum was waiting to take dads hat and have a chat. then ran back. from 1h 40 onward i wanted to die but theres not much choice other than continuing.

Hip flexors felt a tad crampy and bodys in some shock from the lack of running in the past week mixed with the 100% concrete & pavement run.

distance measured from the signposts on cycleway- they were pretty accurate when i could test them with garmin

ha, logged 3x more running today than all of last week
