Rest day. Was originally going to stick to the 400m home loop, but the snow made everything too slow and slippery. So I went out on the roads. Not much traffic today, plus I got some great views of the mountains behind the house.

Some Williamsport trail runners organized a virtual race out here. They put out the tapes and created a segment on Strava for us. Pretty cool course, lots of technical bits, but they didn't go overboard.

I haven't been doing any orienteering here for a few reasons:

1) no maps out here and I haven't found any good spots yet. North-Central PA has loads of forest, but it's usually either extremely steep hillsides or a mountain laurel-covered plateau.

2) I've been too distracted by everything that's been happening. It just feels strange to think about something like orienteering right now. Running on the other hand offers me a therapeutic value of turning off my brain for a bit, focusing on my breathing, and meditating.

Here's where PA is right now: All non-life-sustaining businesses are closed, but we're still able to move around.

Here's where I think PA will go: Shelter-in-place the same as New York and California.

In that case, it might be better to be in Scranton because at least there I have trails and forests accessible by foot.

Who knows? What world is this?

Really enjoying Rider Park out here. Very easy to get lots of climb although some of the state forest trails are not particularly well maintained.
