Orienteering (Rogaine) 6:08:13 [3] 41.71 km (8:50 / km) +1287m 7:39 / km

6 hour rogaine in Peguerinos.

I am too tired to expand on comments right now. Just will say that my team, Spanglish, won. I started the watch about 8 minutes before the race started but we made it back about 50 seconds shy of 6 hours. We didn't get three controls out of the 45.

We could have gone faster but I didn't refill my water bottle at a river expecting there would be fountains ahead. There weren't. So I went about 2.5 hours without water. When we did get to a fountain it was get stagnant. I drank because I didn't have any water at all and was really hurting. It tasted like I was drinking a frog. I couldn't drink too much so that was essentially useless. Then we made it to a fast moving river and I DRANK there and filled up my camelback. I came back to life about 15 minutes later.

Easy run around Moral. I found another guy on my route who was holding a solid pace. I introduced myself and he says that he lives in Moral. Really nice guy and really fit also. He said he ran 20k at 3:40/k yesterday and was taking it easy today. Look forward to training with him.

Easy run around Moral. Up to Pico Martillo and back down.
