Long run up Means hollow and then down Milesburn. Feeling tired and calves are still tight. Good run over all I'd say. It went surprisingly fast. Quite windy and I made the mistake of picking a route that finished against it. My 5 minute tempo at the end was going against the wind. That was not easy. I like the mountains.

Rice rd and clearfield. Terrible weather. It was windy, cold and raining. My calves are still very tight from yesterday. But I got out there and did it.

Easy jog on the treadmill, going a little fast. Felt easy.

15 minute warmup/ 28 minute cooldown.

Running intervals 32:00 [4] 4.45 mi (7:11 / mi)

Decent Steeple simulation. I didn't feel too good which is disappointing but I was also clearing the water jump so maybe that cost me more energy.
Anyways plan was 5x1000 meters on 3 minute jog. The 1st, 3rd, and 5th ones were over barriers.

I was really dragging by the end. It's strange because I ran an actual steeplechase at a faster pace than that last week. I'm confused. Could be I'm not sleeping enough. Either way it's not very encouraging but I will keep at it.

Chamberlin Loop alone. Feeling tired but that's not a surprise. The hills were hard.

Out and back on the rail trail with Boyer and then an extension past creekside up to roxbury. Solid overall. Definently feeling the workout in my legs.

I keep wondering why these workout are so difficult and then I look at how fast I end up running the whole workout. It's obvious why it's so difficult then. There was a good 10-15 mph head wind slowing me down on the back stretch. I also had to do this workout alone after the first mile since the other guys are running the 5k at Bucknell on Friday. So for the last 10 minutes I was out there alone... grinding.
The plan was 4x200@34-35 on 200 jog, 2x400@69-70 on 400 jog, 3x1 mile@5:28-30 on 400 jog, 2x400, 4x200.

Peiper Rd with Fogelsanger add-on. Very hot and a little breezy. The heat definently got to me by the end of the run. I was really dragging. But that is what happens when it's 10 degrees warmer than what I've been running in for the past 6 months.
