Extended Dream Highway. I got far out there. I really liked this run. Felt pretty tired at times but I just kept rolling along. Lots of Mennonites returning from church. Perfect weather. 55 and partly cloudly. 5 minute tempo before cooldown. I averaged 5:20 pace for it.

Note

This long run concludes the highest 2 week mileage total of my running career. It's interesting how I feel tired yet really strong at the same time. The plan is to drop my mileage for the next week to about 60-65 which should feel nice after these past 2 weeks. And then the week after the mileage will rise back up to 85 and possibly 90 after that. Going to see if this 2 week high 1 week low mileage train will help.

Workout with Reilly. This felt really really easy. I don't think I started to struggle once during any of the intervals. Except on the penultimate when my bowels acted up. I took a bathroom break and started a 1:15 behind.
Plan was 6x1000@ I pace on 3 minute recovery.

Easy morning jog with Ben out Fogelsonger.

Running 1:10:00 [3] 10.0 mi (7:00 / mi)

Easy run on the treadmills in the Rec Center because I really didn't feel like fighting the wind today alone. Felt like I got a good workout in.

Steeple Practice 20:00 [2]

Steeple Drills with Run throughs before the baseball team closed Heiges.

Workout which had more easy running than workout. 20 minute warmup/38 minute cooldown. Workout was 8x200 meters@34 on 1 minute recovery jog.

Easy 20 minutes with Ben. Legs felt heavy at the start but loosened up afterwards.

Running 1:10:00 [3] 10.0 mi (7:00 / mi)

Easy Extended Stonewall with Reilly. Nice day out. Very sunny. Feeling very heavy and tired. A 7 flat pace felt pretty fast today. But that's the training.

Warmup/cooldown 15 minute warmup and 25 minute cooldown.

Running intervals 30:00 [3] 4.8 mi (6:15 / mi)

Great workout today! It didn't feel like an easy run but I certainly handled it without problems. Plan was 12x400@ 70 seconds and starting one every 2:30. I went a little faster.

Spence told us to speed up on the last 2. I didn't feel the last one until afterwards. Very satisfied.

Easy Cramer with Reilly. Felt heavy and ankle got some twinges in it. Decided not to do steeple drills today. Snowing by the end of it. I'm tired but I still feel good getting in the mileage.
