Running long 1:45:00 [3] 14.0 mi (7:30 / mi) +564m 6:40 / mi

Long run in the mountains. Was really moving on the uphills. Of course that's not reflected in my pace. Almost 2000 feet of uphill will do that to ya. Also going up big surprise twice slowed me down a bit. I'm still feeling the bruise on my hip from falling off my bike a few days ago. Nothing too bad but I can feel it. Beautiful day in the woods. Really good day for the spirit.

Overall pretty good considering how windy it was. Spence told us to slow down about 1-2 seconds per lap to adjust for the wind but I guess I couldn't hold myself back from pounding. Oh well. Also in the 400s I tried slowing down but 75s and 76s over hurdles just felt so easy. I think that's a good sign.

Overall the workout didn't feel easy to me. I don't think I'm overtrained because my resting heartrate is still around 36 beats every morning. I think I might just be a little tired and nothing too big. I just need to take care of myself and work through this tough segment. I suppose I shouldn't complain too much when all that's happening is that my workouts aren't easy. I get the opportunity to deal with alot of pain in my running. It'll help in the races.

Time lengthened Core O'clock

Monday Apr 12, 2010 #

Running 1:10:00 [3] 9.8 mi (7:09 / mi)
slept:8.5

Run on the rail trail. Got out there and went on auto pilot for 70 minutes. Really beautiful day out. A mini horse leading a carriage carrying an amish girl passed me. The mini horse seemed to be very scared. I must look intimidating to miniature horses.

Steeple Practice 20:00 [1]

Normal routine. For some reason I was finding it very mentally difficult to do a lead leg drill with my trail leg, that is every time I would approach it I would instinctively jump off my other leg. I eventually got it down.
