Dinosaur hunting!
Drove up to the Barrage d'Emosson at almost 2000m
Even after the dam, the path was not boyzone-friendly
Onwards and upwards.
Passed through the middle of this picture:
The lake of Vieux Emosson was drained for works.
The dark rock came one upon a time from the Chamonix valley, the other side of the Aiguilles Rouges, pushed over when the Alps were forming.
Now if only I'd been here 240 million years earlier, I might have caught one!
The route back down via Gorge de Veudale.
