maybe 1/3 or less on tarmac/concrete, it felt like a lot. The patch near the water treatment plant (I think) smelled of washing powder, bleugh. Besides that it was lovely. The second half I turned off the headlamp, there was just enough light pollution for the relatively smooth trails.

I poisoned myself afterwards, I think with the turkey. Whatever it was, two hours after eating, I was vomiting repeatedly, then felt relatively better and slept.

After a lovely evening with tasty pig produce and friendly locals, I arranged to go for a stroll around l'Argentine today with a Breton film star and her Hungarian bf.

We went from Solalex to Solalex, clockwise. It was pretty. Besides lots of chamois and a gentiane flower (yeah, it's been warm), we also saw a somewhat rare and rather gigantic bearded vulture.

My original plan was to run it, but the company was tempting, plus somewhat reassuring, since I didn't know the trail was as runnable as it was. There was just a little snow on the north side of the Col des Esserts, and then on the slope before le Roc Chalet.

I started the GPS after 250m of climb, and turned it off in the car.
