After a lovely evening with tasty
pig produce and friendly locals, I arranged to go for a stroll around l'Argentine today with a Breton film star and her Hungarian bf.
We went from Solalex to Solalex, clockwise. It was pretty. Besides lots of chamois and a gentiane flower (yeah, it's been warm), we also saw a somewhat rare and rather gigantic bearded vulture.
My original plan was to run it, but the company was tempting, plus somewhat reassuring, since I didn't know the trail was as runnable as it was. There was just a little snow on the north side of the Col des Esserts, and then on the slope before le Roc Chalet.
I started the GPS after 250m of climb, and turned it off in the car.
