trail run 1:13:00 [3] 13.67 km (5:20 / km)

Loop from home, nice out. Didn't need more clothes for running, but stopping to watch someone skating on the sea for more than a minute wasn't really possible.

Time running = - Temperature*(frost on beard)/(length of beard)

Note

Really ought to have run today. No good excuse... didn't sleep properly again last night, nose is stuffed. Got some maths done, but never enough, plus sent off the job app. And added the GPS tracks from last Saturday, but haven't QRed or anything sophisticated like that.

Well, RGed Glendoo, http://www.orienteering.ie/result2?oaction=moreRes... , even though my mac/firefox/java combinations still don't let the animations run.

Note

Long day, first day teaching, second day of Finnish class, plus a job app. And it's cold out. Zzzz.

trail run 1:00:00 [3]

From home. There was someone out skating on the sea.

Note

Interesting trip home.

Mum&dad were coming to Dublin to meet me and to collect the car, but were in the train that got stuck behind a train that broke down. So they were delayed, and the train decided to return to Waterford, but then changed its mind again and continued on up to Dublin. I was getting on the bus to the airport as their train arrived, managed to see them for about half a minute.

In CPH I went to gate F... instead of gate A..., I think because the next flight on the screen was leaving from F It was a long walk back, but my flight was a little delayed, it turned out, so no worries there.

By the time I got my bag and ran out to the bus stop, one had just left. Next one would get me home at around 1am, including a 15minute wait at a bus stop in -14°. So I went to the taxi queue and asked a random if he was going to Viikki. He looked at me strangely, because he was. Half price ride home, yay, which turned into an even cheaper ride home as his work was paying, happy days.

There's snow on the ground, but barely an inch. On the plus side, the sea may freeze if this continues.

Note

Went for a walk up the tropical rainforest that is the Devil's Glen.

Wet, but good.

Huge variety in the geography I've been exposed to in the past week, both landscape and weather. It's been great.
