Putting out controls at Moneyhole. Got completely lost when I went in first due to walls being mapped funny.

Nice to be out, but an insane amount of cobwebs. Glorious day.

Note

Pretty poor by Sweden at EOC today, at least on the men's side.

Ward Pound Ridge
Late afternoon training, beautiful... I should spend more time out here.

A couple of boulders should be knolls, and some green should be white, and one trail should be a wall, but the map was largely fine (I'm not saying it couldn't do with a complete remapping).

Said hello to the Leatherman's cave and lay on a rock.

Note

Orienteering is so unforgiving. And wonderful.

AlcO in the city organised by Angela. A lot of fun, with passages, route choice, more navigation than one would suspect, great people and some liquid refreshments...

A couple of times onlookers expressed envy and a desire to partake in such activities, and rightly so.

Note

Monday I prepared a presentation instead of running, yesterday I failed the presentation and after lunch went into the city to meet someone and hung out in grand central library for a bit instead of going for a run, today I did too much maths and then spent ages booking flights and more flights instead of running...
... haven't been eating properly either.

Life might get back to normal in a month. Or maybe this is normal.

Note

Boyz !! Men and Colbie Caillat playing Peekskill in the coming weeks, how bizarre.
The Paramount Center for the Arts tends to have acts appealing to rich old white ladies (does Daisy Jopling fall in that category?), but seems to be changing tack, with ever-questionable taste.

Note

The french have style.

Note

I'm tempted to get a crappy pc to run all windows programs... parallels is great until you want to install a new program that requires a less antiquated version of xp/.net/sp2

Note

AOWN in Sylvan Glen
- said hello to the Quarry Oak tree which must be six foot in diameter
- saw a single, solitary pink ladyslipper - http://uswildflowers.com/detail.php?SName=Cypriped...
6 PM

trail run 47:41 intensity: (21:47 @1) + (22:01 @2) + (3:53 @3) 6.63 km (7:12 / km)
ahr:133 max:167

Sylvan Glen

Pretty place, might be usable for small local events.

Quarry edges are unprotected so you have to be careful unless you are spiderman.

There's a really bizarre disused railway on a spur 1.84km in.
