I still haven't worked out a way of getting to Boulderdash that doesn't involved many hours cooped up in a car with Radiolab (starting from Peekskill).

WCOC Tarrywile
Duracell bunny Carlyle put on a fun event in Tarrywile. I heard one of the Yale newbies say upon finishing, "I am an orienteer for life." And rightly so.
My proselytisee didn't come because the weather was nice enough for climbing, but she is recruiting people to come to Highlander.
I made a couple of wee zigzags, many small hesitations and a few 20s ones but no proper mistakes. It's such a different sport going slowly. Oh, I did run off the map, somewhat intentionally. Edit: Forgot I lost time on number 1, cut in apparently a little early, had to run up the stream, very unsure of myself. Map was pretty dodgy until we got into the woods.
Over by 14/15, there were hundreds of birds chirruping away in the woods making an awful racket. On the way to 16 they went eerily silent for maybe four seconds, before starting up again.
Very humid out, so tough going, and Tarrywile ain't exactly flat, so I'm pretty tired now.
Went to a talk yesterday about assessing online advertising efficiency, they were talking about pixels, which I wasn't really aware of. As a result, I ust spent a while deleting cookies and blocking third-party cookies on my 'puter.

Glad C-H proposed this... I may or may not have pushed myself out running this evening and it was good to do a little exercise.
