Woken by a phone call I didn't get up in time to answer. Still tired. Awful not to be able to run today, glorious out.

Good to see people at Ward Pound Ridge today, especially the especially big smile on Becks' face.

Watched "Adam and Paul", on AQ's recommendation. It is really rather good.

Tero put in another awe-inspiring performance, 4.5min/km in this!

Note

Proof I am not totally Americanised: There was a news report about the religious Republican rally in Iowa. It said that the organisers and locals warned the Republicans against neglecting social issues...
... so here was me thinking that there was finally going to be a backlash against politicians who don't believe in health and education and fighting poverty and whatnot, and had a fleeting image in my head of the Reps and Dems competing over who could make the country a better place...

... alas it appears social issues here means something else. And somebody who cares about social issues is apparently not a socialist.

Will I be back in time for this? http://www.runner.org/upcoming-stpats

ooo after dinner yesterdsy, which was straight after running, a wave of exhaustion hit me... went to bed at 8.30pm, sweated lots for a while... 9.5hrs in bed, still a bit tired, tongue is off-colour. Pernicious bugger this virus thing is.

In work at 8am, got some work done and came home straight after lunch. Succeeded in staying awake for the drive. Knackered.

Note

Anybody done a 180 worse than this?

running in the rain!!!!!!!!!!!!

10ยบ and rain meant a nice layer of fog sat atop the still-frozen Silver Lake.

It took no time to realise there was no hope of keeping the feet dry, and only a little time to find out that the rocks in the bank-overflowing streams were not particularly slippy, which was a good thing. Wet wet wet.
