Coumshignaun, location of the 2020 Irish downhill sprint-O champs.

Another lovely cold day, headed back up the Comeraghs.

Rocks up by the Coum just like they were fifteen years ago, but boulders have sprouted and moved around some since Pat H visited the place in 1986. Time to import a mapper!

A recipe to start the New Year in style.

Take the Comeraghs, add some icing sugar, put on icebugs and eat to your heart's content.

The day's pics are here.

running 1:09:00 [3]

Caught the end of the partial lunar eclipse, running down to Woodstown, along the beach, back up the other road, same as two days ago. No rain, but got wet on a flooded road. Apparently it's snowing in Dublin.

Tuesday Dec 29, 2009 #

running 1:06:30 [3]

Battling with the dark, the wind and the rain. I won, apparently as they eased off. Although there was complete cloud cover, it can't have been too thick, and the moon must have been up there somewhere, as didn't need the headlamp on the way back. It was lovely, diffuse light, strange at 10 at night.

Nice to get out there, feeling a bit useless these days.

Sunday Dec 27, 2009 #

running 55:40 [3] 10.2 km (5:27 / km)
ahr:153

Tramore, more sand and less wind than the day before
