orienteering race 15:37 [5] **** 2.0 km (7:49 / km)

French Sprint Champs
La Charité-sur-Loire

Fantastic course, map... not Cervara di Roma, but good technical sprint orienteering. Started off in some ramparts, different levels and impassable walls etc. nearly caught by Thierry there (1min), took until leaving 6 that he overtook me, by now in the old town... he helped me a bit going to 7,8... 9 I was on my own, saw him in the distance towards 10 which gave the route choice... also leaving the control which saved a couple of seconds... then he was gone!!!!

TG ran 13:07 so he gained 1:30 after overtaking... ouch

great race...

running warm up/down 30:00 [2]

bois de Méridon with CivC... good to be back training speed, although didn't push too hard. achilles/claf is still a bit tight

orienteering race 2:56:00 [3] *** 14.0 km (12:34 / km) +675m 10:08 / km

Demi Finale NE
Near Dijon (chambercey?)

too unfit and too thisty. 2 hours (and >500m climb) without a drop of water before hitting the first ravitaillement. two glasses there, another at the other one 200m up the path... thirsty again a vouple of minutes later.

brutally tough

great xompetition 'though... technical(ish), long, physical
must get training properly again

DR ran it in 1h35 the week before... Fit and with water I could run 2h15 without too much bother... as it was I was reduced to tottering around half the course

trail run warm up/down 15:00 [2]

running to the start plus a little bit. given the distance to follow didn't really need this!!
