Is this the toughest orienteering in the world? I suppose it can't be, but I also suppose it's not far off. It is a little more runnable than Mazayes, with just as much detail. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of snow overnight. Only helped for a couple of controls (tracks).
Horsed up the third control and lost a bit of time on the ninth too. Then got overtaken by better orienteers than the ones who had overrtaken me at the third... actually managed to run a coupe of controls well between there and the finish. Well, no worse than some other people... finished ahead of the pack after navigating much better to the last control despite losing 30 seconds on it... think I chose better routes for the last few.Signs of promise amid the despair...

Not half as much fun. Too tired, too much snow, too many tracks, didn't read the map wonderfully well... used the tracks too much... terrain is still incredibly challenging
