forest run warm up/down 15:00 [2]

probably twenty minutes mostly before the middle distance race, plus stretching.

orienteering race 36:19 [5] *** 6.7 km (5:25 / km)

Loches,
Criterium National Moyenne Distance, or at least that is what ist was called last year.

TG won in 29 something so I had a pretty good race, copule of mistakes notably biggish directinal errors on the way to 5 and 6. Managed to keep all errors fairly small, essentially only stopping occasionally to take more precise bearings.

Very happy afterwards, think I came twelfth (although some squad members were not treating it seriously). First decent race in months and months.

trail run 43:01 [2] *

Orsay, gentle run, Sigtuna map. Fast hills yesterday hurt feet a bit. Need to be careful. And racing this weekend plus next week will be tough, so took it easy as planned. Would have been easy to do an extra 15 minutes.

forest run warm up/down 10:00 [2]

warm-up for FFSU champs, didn't do much by way of warm-down :(

orienteering race 42:35 [5] *** 5.3 km (8:02 / km) +150m 7:02 / km

FFSU Champs,
La Quillane, W part of map. Nice place. Near Font Romeu, Pyrénées Orientales.

Horsed up the 6th control by 4 minutes. Should hqve realised it was the trickiest control, thought I would be able to read myself back in after crossing the marsh with at most a minute lost but no. Grr. Also lost 2 minutes on controls 13&14 to make it a rather bad (if enjoyable) run.
Map seemed a little strange, but my map-reading asn't as clearheaded as it ought to have been.

Motivated to start cutting out mistakes.

Alban Dalberto showed what was possible running the course in 34 minutes
