Orienteering race 2:02:44 [4] **** 10.5 km (11:41 / km) +400m 9:49 / km
spiked:13/17c shoes: Black Jalas

Red course at Team Trials on Blue Mountain map. Great map, course and terrain. Orienteering not good - lost 20+ min total on 4 controls. Lost map contact mid-route to 5, 8 and 15. Distracted by others leaving 12 and wandered for way too long (~10 min) until I figured out where I was. Hot (low 80's), which is only part of the cause. FR didn't want to wake up so distance is estimated. Straight line distance was 8.6 km. Climb is actual on the routes I took.

Trail Run 49:13 intensity: (2:11 @1) + (19:00 @2) + (25:18 @3) + (2:44 @4) 4.88 mi (10:05 / mi) +182m 9:02 / mi

At Kennedy Park in Lenox, MA. Tried to keep an easy pace but it's hard to do here since it's pretty hilly. A hot day with temps in the low 80's.

Trail Run intervals 43:05 intensity: (2:32 @1) + (11:29 @2) + (19:11 @3) + (9:53 @4) 4.52 mi (9:32 / mi) +99m 8:56 / mi
ahr:135 max:159 shoes: NB 874

Intervals on trails at Hand Hollow Conservation Area. 7 x 90 sec with 60 sec recovery. Had intended to do 5 x 120 sec but didn't set my watch up right. On fairly flat trail with few roots and rocks so the footing is good. Distance covered on each interval remarkably similar (350m +/- 5m). A thunderstorm had gone through less than an hour before I ran so everything was wet. The temperature and humidity had dropped a bit so it was comfortable (at about 70F).
