Run/Walk 32:48 [3] 2.05 mi (16:02 / mi) +292ft 14:07 / mi
shoes: Innov8s pair 1

To the start of the middle. Except that (like at least one other person) we ended up following the wrong ribbons to the start (someone was putting them up for a race tomorrow). Where we turned around turned out to be only 200m or so from the start, and would have actually been a more sensible route to get there as it didn't go nearly as much through the competition area as the actual route to the start, and wouldn't have required most people to go back through the pre-start at the start of their courses.

Orienteering race (Night) 2:38:28 [4] ***** 10.1 km (15:41 / km) +1706ft 12:29 / km
shoes: Innov8s pair 1

US Night Orienteering Championships - Blue course - at Oregon Ridge Park, Cockeysville, MD. My first time orienteering in Maryland. A bit out of practice at night orienteering. Made several mistakes (worst errors on 4, 9, 10, 15 and 23). Got in a mini pack from 15 to about 21 (which I was leading most of the way).
GPS tracks - 13.576km, 945m climb.

Note

It's been close to zero degrees F the last few evenings. If I didn't have a big racing weekend coming up I'd have probably gone for a short run on Tuesday or yesterday, but don't want to risk getting sick or injured.

Cycling 46:22 [2] 8.85 mi (5:14 / mi)

Commute. Almost warm enough for shorts in the morning. It was a completely different story on the way home. <20 deg F and light snow, but a noticeable wind-chill. The trails were getting icy in places so I got off and walked (hence the shorter than usual distance) - plus my gear cable froze!
I guess Winter has officially arrived in Colorado!
