(rest day)

Exhausted from DOSS dinner straight after bike ride!

Cycling long (Bike to Berlin training) 3:45:00 [3] 45.37 mi (4:58 / mi) +648m 4:45 / mi

Really good ride, just the four of us and kept up a good pace on around 16mph on the flat and 10mph hills - not sure of the time as can't seem to work the garmin and view the route. Also not convinced that it was only 648 metres of climb?! Deffo much more. But GOOD, legs tired though and hips need a stretch out!

Running 27:58 [3] 5.13 km (5:27 / km) +61m 5:09 / km

Rubbish run, foot hurt within a few hundred metres. But wiggled it around a bit and the pain stopped, but started again about 10s after running and built up until I wiggled it again.
Thought I'd keep going to see if it eased off once warmed up and it didn't but just changed a bit i.e. the pain spread out a bit instead of being in one specific place. When running up the steps my shin hurt a bit as well... weird. And very annoying.

Note

Was going to try out my foot today but did insanity on it yesterday so will try a run tomorrow. It felt fine in insanity even through all of the jumping/burpees/hops etc... so that's good, although I think it really is just the motion of running that gets it. But we'll see, hopefully it will do alright tomorrow now I've done some good stretching sesh's this week.

Cycling (Keiser cycle/spinning) 25:00 [3]

Cycling 15:00 [4]

Spinning! So sweaty. But not as bad as normal, had a different instructer who made it really really easy in comparison to the ones I normally go to - had to add about 3 gears to what she said to make it worth it!
A bit annoying seeing as I'd missed yesterday because I wanted a harder session, and then it was easy(er) anyway. However probably a good thing as the first one I've been to for months, plus I have loads of work to do so needed to still have energy after (which I DID!).

Circuits (Insanity) 30:00 [3]

So basically I was going to go spinning, and thought it was with this lady I've had before who was really good. Then got in there and realised it was an instructer who made it really easy and I really hadn't liked! So I went to Insanity instead... felt a bit bad but a v. good decision, so fun (also foot felt fine) - and spinning hadn't been booked up so at least I didn't take someone elses place :)

Strength and Conditioning (Gym) 40:00 [3]

Back and bi's on my own again - something niggling in my back though so did lighter weights and less reps, not too hard as also going swimming!

swimming 30:00 [3]

40 lengths, in the pattern of 4 front crawl, rest, 4 backcrawl rest x5.
OH my lorddddd I am so bad at swimming now?!!! Like there was no way I could manage more than 4 lengths front crawl without drowing... think it's probably really good for my breathing technique though so think I will make the Monday 'gym & swim' thing a regular. Fun! But tired, swimming always makes me sleepy.
