Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]

Orienteering race (CSC Qualifyer) 35:41 [4] 4.8 km (7:26 / km) +145m 6:28 / km

Did the green, was at Askam Fell which was really open and visible and an extremely easy course, so was just a case of running - felt good, and amazingggg weather! Was in shock, the sun came out =O

Just did 3 x 6minute 'intervals' at a pace that was faster than a normal brisk run but not full out hard running - was good, just felt like a bit of a joke not doing them properly even though that was the plan! Nice to not feel awful after though, was fun =)

3 x 3 minutes normal run inbetween each 'interval' (this was all on flat playing field btw)

Extremely misty, only way to find anything was to hold my torch down near the ground and take bearings to the next thing I could see like 5/6 metres away then stop and look at my compass again. Then at number 12 I went past it and was already 20 past 8 and was impossible to relocate, so just retired - my hands were getting to cold to turn the compass as well so didnt see much point so went home!

Sorted my life out and did something last second, ran down to the gym to see if it was still open and thankfully it was! Bleugh having such an unsatisfying day.
