Running warm up/down 10:00 [2]

Twisted ankle while warming up, just collapsed like it normally does "/

Orienteering race (Northern Champs) 1:05:37 [4] 6.9 km (9:31 / km) +140m 8:38 / km

Did not like this race at all. Was a horrible area, either scratty woodland which was hard to run through, or massivly deap heather which was even harder, or marsh which was maybe a bit easier but still not nice.

Just couldnt run fast and made a stupid mistake and got frustrated with the ground...

BUT I like running on 1:15000 maps - I got half way round and looked at how far I had to go and it looked like nothing, felt like I was almost at the finish and hadnt even come that far XD so that was good =) Would have been a nice course if the area was nice

Newcastle Sprint Event.

Was fun and enjoyed it, just wasnt very fast and made a few silly mistakes so lost time. Never been great at sprints but enjoy them and good for practising decision making. They're hard on your brain though! Went shopping after - the TopShop in Newcastle is like walking into heaven, its hugeeeeeeee XD

Gentle jogging and a few dynamic stretches - felt a bit energyless

Running race (Fell Race) 42:10 [5] 4.0 km (10:33 / km) +400m 7:02 / km

Grike and Crag Fell

Basicly straight up the mountainside to the top of Grike, then along and up to the top of Crag Fell then straight down - quite steep!

Really felt like I had no energy at all in this, and couldnt get into the rythm at all - maybe because of the ground as well "/ also because Ive done no training at all this winter (usually would have dont lots of hill reps) my calve muscles have basicly disapeared, so they where really hurting and all cramped up on the way up ='( So that didnt help. Managed to keep going more once I was up the worst part though, started jogging again.
But then on the down hill was struggling quite a bit because it was so steep and am really bad at running downhill anyway "/
Was a really nice evening though and good to get out and earn my dinner!
