Orienteering race (compass sport cup final) 44:15 [4] 4.9 km (9:02 / km) +60m 8:31 / km

Fineshade Woods - area covered in green and was just a case of running around the paths to everything!

Not great because I managed to twist my ankle while warming up - on the same foot that was hurting yesterday and friday =S

Technically it was ok 1,2 good, 3 was a bit to high so was messing around a bit (40s lost), 4 good

5 - lost loads of time (3mins?) because I ended up battling through a load of green for ages in the wrong direction - I was planning to bump into the path but ended up on another big track, and had to run all the way back down to the control - I think it was just lacking in concentration and not looking at my compass enough

6 good; 7 went to far right so got a bit confused and had to go back on myself a bit - another mistake because of not using my compass when I need to!!

8 - another compass mistake! Also it was quite hard to follow a bearing because of the terrain on this bit, really need to be more disaplined in forest like this because I always get pulled off my bearing! lost about a minute

9, a big track leg, then went in to soon and was jumping over a ditch and twisted my ankle again, then had to battle my way through loads of brambles because I'd gone in to soon =S another 45s lost!

10 and 11 good =) finish goooood 44s =D

Quite enjoyed it but not very good run!!! My foot really, really hurt after though, the pain seems to be at the end of my toes under the ball of my foot when I walk/run, but it isnt sore to touch =S so looks like my plan of a hard week of training this next week is gone =S

And I need to work on: making myself use my compass properly when I need it!

Feeling loads better today so decided to go for a short run to see how i was =)

Was ok but I had loads of energy so wanted to go really fast but it was dark and dad had the torch so had to go slower - I ran some of it without the torch but I still couldnt go fast because I couldnt see so had to stick with dad in the end

It was good to do something though =)

Havent been feeling great for the last few days - felt awfull last night and this morning so I think I'm fighting off a cold or something =( So I'm just trying to recover for the weekend!!! =)

Cross training/Circuits 1:00:00 [4]

Pretty hardcore this week!!!

We did lots of intense leg stretching and plank and some other stretchy stuff then a bit of running :)

Then at the end we did a circuit which I almost killed myself doing -
we were in partners and we did a lap of the hall while they did as many of an exercise as they could, then we swapped and we did 5 laps each with the exercises;
press ups, squat thrusts, wall jumps, vee bends and burpees

then we did it again but with 2 laps each time while the other did the exercises

it was really hard because you were working hard the whole time and the exercises were so tiring especially after the plank and stuff!!!

Really good though =D
