Run around Hyde Park to warm up. Not super ideal today as I had a 5 hour bus journey, then it was dark obviously so difficult to find somewhere to run - ended up running around the edge of Hyde Park which was just light enough - but the session felt like a shock after the bus, and from not doing speed for weeks and weeks!

SUPER SUNNY so felt like I had to go out even though I was exhausted. However by the time I got sorted and went (avec Dad) the mist rolled in and filled the valley. I was super tired so decided to go back and do yoga - think it was the right decision, although the mist actually lifted in the end and Dad got some amazing views. Oh well, yoga made me feel much better!

EPIC! With Kearti, decided to do Whiteside-HH-gully route. Took lots of layers as it was forecast to be v windy and it was misty on the tops and kept snowing. SO MUCH SNOW, and a blitz of hail/windy solid snow coming up to the top, and super misty and super deep snow. But was fine coming along the ridge (just very slow). Wind picked up again when we got to HH, so decided to get down to the gully before snacks. Then somehow got super disorientated in the mist coming down to the gully - I thought we had dropped too far to the right, so tried to traverse around back to the flatter coll. The slope on the right just didn't seem to be flattening so got the compass/map out and apparently we were facing 180 the wrong way. I wasn't sure how much to trust the compass as it was super cold and it was mums so probably very old (amateur error - compass is always right). So decided to drop down to 'the path' as wherever we were there was a path below. Obviously the snow was too deep to find a path, and it got deeper so eventually we were wading through thigh deep snow. VERY CONFUSED and weather was horrible. Hit a fence and finally realised where we must be, climbed all the way back up through the thigh deep snow again to the coll between HH and Grizedale Pike. Then up to the hill below HH again, and finally followed the compass down and GOT TO THE GULLY YAY! Quite a relief. Then home! Was so nice to get back out of the mist and home - adventure!

Run with Hannah and Indie - fun, and windy! Up Melbreak, along to the halfway point and then back. Invigorating. Bit worried I am getting a cold now though as I am sneezing and my throat feels weird - but going to ignore it and it will go away hopefully.

Round Loughrigg with Dan. We were going to do a mountain-y route but forecast was for 40mph wind. Feeling pretty tired so was a bit of a pathetic pace with some bench sitting. But also some good spurts on the downhills. Fun!

WINTER CLIMBING with Dad! Up on Helvellyn. Feeling ridiculously tired and quite awful for the first couple of hours so walking up there with the big pack was a struggle but revived once we were on the climb. Super fun once we were climbing/in the snow. But felt like a huge heffalump with all of the layers, and boots are just ridiculous. But was good. Excited for Scotland next weekend.

Very very VERY slow 'run'. Was going to do a long run back from Keswick around in a mega loop but was just soooooooooooo tired and felt really feeble. Think I may be fighting something off or something.
So went up Catbells/Maiden Moor etc and down to Honister, but ended up walking pretty much most of it and then hitched back from Honister in the end to near home. Need sleep. Still 3hrs on my feet though so that will count for something and good to be in the mountains.

Run with INDIE! So nice. Nice and brisk, not 'tempo' pace but just trying to enjoy running a bit faster and pushing a bit - although had breaks to wait for Indie. Felt tired though, even though it was a short one!
