4hr journey with Adrienne... discovering tracks from Kalamunda on the way to Greenmount. Beautiful day. Made it as far as the Helena river, then went up stream looking for a track that's on my iphone gps but turned into a tiny hiking trail. Turned back, made it to the bottom of Gooseberry Hill by dark, got picked up.

10 x 400m with 150m recovery, every third a bit harder. After a week of no exercise and too much work I didn't feel too strong. Consistent recovery times...

shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D

H3 course. Nice territory, and weather - light shower given 2/3 of the way through to cool me off. Still making nav and map reading the priority. Ran on contour info more and much less looking at compass. That worked ok, but landed me to within 50-80m of controls sometimes - so need some help getting the fine nav to the control. Bought thumb compass for next time! Lost a time at three controls - each time arrived within 50m.
