Finished the week in 1st ahead of Hector.

shoes: Innov8-Talon 212

Day 5 at Barry Buddon. Long day helping out at the start for 3 hours. Started the race with a wobble at 2 in an area of lots of little hills of which only the significant ones were mapped. most complex area of the whole week. got back to me racing stride after leaving the forest and ran the rest of the course very well. 1 more little wobble at the end due to nerves but otherwise no more than 1 minute lost. Finished again in 1st. 15s up on Rocky.

Orienteering race (S6D Day 4) 53:50 [5] 9.1 km (5:55 / km)
shoes: Innov8-Talon 212

Day 4 at Tentsmuir. Chasing start starting in 2nd. 12s down on Iain Nixon. Joining forces at number 1 we ran up to number 9 pushing hard taking a slightly slower route round all the green on the long leg. Iain missed 9 sending me out on my own ahead of Iain and Carlson. I missed at no. 14 and the two caught me. Ran together to spectator where I was happy for a new leader but didn't get it. Heading back into the forest after the spectator control through Iain and Carlson off and I navigated the last looped cleanly to finish in 1st. 3 minutes ahead of the rest. Matt ran a minute faster on the day.
