Missed number 1, but not by much. Never the less I went off to try and claw the time back and ended up zijzagging before another bigger miss at 8. Pulled it together after that but a bad fall just after 17 nocked the wind out of me and I walked/jogged the last few. Not a good day. Trying to hard, perhaps? went out after for some techneque training...

WD round the map running 1 to 8 in reverse. Somewhat relieved but dissapointed to find that the veg was mapped pretty bad around 8 and 1, and it was not only my clumpsy orienteering techneque. I should have relied more on my compass but if there is detail on the map you at least expect it to be correct. Or so you'd think!?

woke up to some fresh snow so called off a run round ben laws so drove out to drummond hill and re ran the SEDs training from a couple of years back in reverse. Half the forest was wind blown or felled + shin deep snow made it pretty slow going. WU and WD included.

Long course (5k!?) bit scrappy as the map/controls were poor. Miss at 3 and 12 but otherwise pretty good. Enjoying the nice tough running of the deeside forests. Not enough brashings and tussocks down south.
