steady run long 2:22:00 [3]

Glen Feardar with S, to Cullardoch by SE route then back via Invercauld route (SW), back over between Craig Leek and Meal Gorm. Feeling good at start, struggled a bit before summit of Cullardoch and then a bit on the way back. Legs tired from past few days sessions. Pleased that right leg held up pretty well - a few twinges but nothing serious. Passed shepherd still lambing his ewes at edge of Glen Feardar - loads of tiny stumbling lambs and nervous, worried mums!
Couple of hail showers but nothing much - but absolutely chucking it down on return through Aboyne.

Swimming 25:00 [2]

Loch Kinord. Felt good before but legs tired during swimming. Not bothered by temperature. Lovely light - patches of sunlight crossing the forested hills to the west - very attractive.

Jog to loch and stumble back to car.

Hanging and collecting controls for after-school club. Lovely day, sunny and breezy.
Legs very heavy and tired.

Before forest-sprint. Needed it - legs very tired from intervals.

orienteering race 16:00 [5]

Forest sprint, Scolty. Fairly simple course (more yellow-orange than orange-light green), so lots of flat-out blasting along paths or easy terrain. Legs struggling a bit. Lost maybe 10 secs on 2 (cut towards first hill rather than second), maybe a bit of a banana on 5, 8 & 9. Other than that just not moving quickly enough.
My time 15-34, JW 13-17, E 14-50.
Right leg fine.

The real mcCoy - 5x4+2 with S on railway line. Started well then struggled a bit on 3 + 4 and 5 was an 11 out of 10... Gubbed by the end.
Right leg was fine behind thigh, just a bit tight and sore in adductors. Need to stretch and massage to loosen off. Improvement from Friday in feeling in leg so things still going the right way.

Dow nto start and then real grovel home, legs completely gone. Good session :-)

Good session, lots of glute work so good for my rehab.

Hanging controls for after-school running club special session, short of time so ran hard from start, legs very much improved from Sat/Sun.

Jogging round a bit and collecting a couple of markers.
