Orienteering race (Dumyat SOL) 1:00:41 [4] 7.9 km (7:41 / km)
shoes: VJ Integrator

This area should suit me but blew it again. Passed another runner up the hill to 2 but he caught me again into the control so pushed on to 3. Missed in the circle loosing about 1min 30 so pushed hard to catch my man again, he missed 4 badly and so did I as I wasn’t reading my map. I have to stop racing people (he wasn’t even on the same course). Settled down after this but game over 5 mins down after 4 controls. Didn’t, see the road in bounds amongst the hashing on the long leg so ran all the way down and back up. (Great leg though). Couldn’t read the map on the paths to 15 and ended up scrambling in the crags. Probably looked ok blown up on a screen but not readable even on 1:7500.
Enjoyable weekend on great areas, well done to FVO for what must have been a huge amount of work. (4 events on 2 venues 50 miles apart,)

Orienteering (Sprint training) 23:12 [3] 4.2 mi (5:31 / mi)
