Mountain Biking 1:45:00 [1]

Really nice mountain bike ride from Camp Fortune on Ridge Road. Was going to head out in the morning, then plans changed on me, ended up going in the afternoon. Really non-technical riding, but good to stretch the legs non running.

Orienteering Race 1:49:13 [4]

Meech Valley Pine Road B Meet

Man, haven't had a day like this Orienteering in a while. Bothered by a sore neck and sciatic I was mentally sloppy and on this map, you will pay. Huge mistakes early and often. Just couldn't get in touch with the map, and with a 1:75 scale, no excuses. Felt okay in the middle portion, but then massive blow-up at the second to last control. Would have quit but so close to the finish.

However, probably the toughest Middle course I ran this year, way technically harder than NAOC. Mark Gibbard is setting the Long for nationals in 2017, it will be great I'm sure.

Good tough new map for Ottawa, under 45 mins from downtown. A pure spring/fall location, but you could for sure hold a Canada Cup level event on this.

Running 1:05:00 [3]

Run from P7, becoming my bread and butter run. Skyline and King Mtn.

I officially am having Sciatic nerve problems as well as a bad neck. So, spine is hurting at top and bottom. But, chiro told me to train through it and running is better than sitting behind a desk.

Also, started a new job this week at Foreign Affairs:

My goal is to get as good an accent as Captain Ramius:
