Orienteering Training 49:00 [2]

I think around this time. Wed Night event in Edmonton at Heritage. Not bad, sort of a tempo run type with a bunch of pure running long legs. Good to see the mixture of long and short legs, there's just not much you can do with this map.

In other news, I think I might now be the coach of Edmonton Nordic Junior Racing team. Looking forward to getting sponsored as a coach!

Running 30:00 [2]

Wee run in the valley. Ankle doing ok I think. Famous last words.

I find the public nature of the development of the US Junior / Development team a bit strange.

Orienteering Training 1:00:00 [2]

Not a fun night of Orienteering at Terwilliger. When the Event Director tells you his goal is to make the event as boring as possible just before the start, hard to get all that excited.

Reading this guy talk about Douglas Murray, the Canadians new D-man is awesome.

Spent the day discussing that Dougie Murray is Canadian. For example, he played at the 2010 Olympics in Canada. Also he invented a tap for a beer keg in college. What more does he have to do to prove his Canadian bona fides?

Cycling (Mountain biking) 1:30:00 [2]

Mountain bike ride with Will on a Sunday morning. Probably about the second time in my life using clipless but luckily all the falls were out of sight of everyone. Petals (my bike, formerly of Pillar) worked well although the front derailer was a bit slow at times.

Wearing a bike jersey is a good reminder that ski season is around the corner.

Running 45:00 [2]

A wee run in the river valley. I really should log more of these. Ankle still sore from the Vancouver trip.

I still have no clue how to get youtube videos to work in here. But really, this post is just an excuse to post this.
