Running 1:00:00 [3] *
shoes: Asics 2070

Wicked run in the Dundas Valley with Jaker and Sarah.
Been sick since I've been in town, but felt great to get out running, even if we timed the rain perfectly. As in it wasn't raining before or after, just during.

Got a map from GHOSlow before going and follwed along. Took Sarah up K2, Merrit, the Hermitage (didin't buy it was built by the Druids), RMC, Groundhog hill and just all around there, parking at Merrick.

Deer count: 1. then 4 later on Lions Club road.

next time in the valley, Thursday AM

Mountain Biking 1:05:00 [1]

Bike ride around Edmonton. Recently deduced that what I thought was my iron-framed mountain bike, was really a hybrid and thus I'm not allowed to wear spandex whilst riding it. However, I've been lent a road bike from Tolly Brandford for at least the summer and will get it in action as soon as I learn to ride clipless.

How's this for a fast time by Mr.Pither:

On the Edmonton Thunder message board Brian Torrance commented it was "Jeremy Deer, some guy from Winnipeg and then hard as nails Mark Vollmer."
33:29 is pretty quick. Mark Vollmer was a several times CIAU All-Canadian and Jer Deere has gone to many world champs in cross (now retired and owes a running store in Calgary with Graeme Hood).
Also one Nikki Rehn in 21 place.
