Running 1:15:00 [2]

Did The Loop with Freddy and Pete. Getting there? Maybe? Problem is Freddy keeps training way more.

Running 50:00 [2]

Lovely day, so went for a run up in Old Chelsea from P7. Felt slow uphill.

Now making plans for a Lake Placid and NYC road trip next week.

Running tempo 1:15:00 [4]

Wow, fun workout. Up in Wakefield Trails behind Ski Vorlage. Amazing looking woods and there's already an O map, I think the Challenge the Gats might be using it this fall? Regardless, I think small area but a good course setter could maybe do something really fun with it (there's a ski hill involved so I'd want someone who understands climb).

Trail repeats that started and finished at the cemetery that Lester B Pearson is buried in. Fun fact: I worked in a building named after him and also bartended at the Carleton grad bar named after him.

Good sized group out. I felt pretty awful, but at least the leg didn't feel too rough.

Mountain Biking 1:00:00 [3]

Not a great deal of time after work and legs felt sore so hammered on the crosser for an hour.

Must remember to wear more layers cycling, it was freezing.

Orienteering Race 1:25:07 [3]

Limped around March Highlands for the first time on the map this season.

Leg did not feel great, but what am I going to do. Shockingly I was pretty smooth going slowly in the terrain.

Some really great woods, super fun map with lots of trails, great early season event, not too wet. Course setting was odd at times but must be due to water issues?

There are currently 39 comments about Lidar.
9 comments about map cases.

Zero comments about the fact the US had 3 F21 runners at their biggest A Meet of the Spring.

Plus super weak elite field at the Pig?

What's going on?

Running 1:05:00 [2]

Did The Loop with Freddy.

Leg didn't feel too bad, but general fitness felt awful on the hills. Well the downhills felt fine of course.

Mountain Biking 1:00:00 [3]

Late afternoon ride along Aviation Parkway on the crosser, nice temp.

Quoting the Interweb:

The March for Social Science will be run by political scientists, picketed by anthropologists, studied by sociologists and ignored by economists.

Running 50:00 [3]

First Natural Fitness Lab Tuesday night workout of the Spring. This week was at the Arboretum and my god I felt awful. We basically just chased Dave for a while, my legs never loosened up and then we did sprints, which went poorly!

But, lovely day out, just lots of work to do.

And after that, went over the Chris and Jenny's place and picked up my new road bike! Mmmm carbon....

Mountain Biking 2:36:00 [3]

Ride on the Rail Trail. Into the wind, both ways! Really should have brought more food, although discovered I had a bar and gel in saddle bag. Possibly the most disgusting gel I've ever had.
But the ride was great, on my Colnago.

Note

Heading to Hamilton and Toronto for the long weekend.
Up for running or biking, I'll bring my cross bike is the plan.

Telemark/Alpine (Tele) 1:00:00 [1]

Full day of tele skiing at Tremblant, will only log an hour. Lovely day, about +7 at the top of the hill, not that windy, even for Tremblant.

Looks like first and last time tele this year and picked a winner of the day. Only skied North side as I heard the snow on the south was pretty poor.

Tremblant Village: still looks like an awesome sprint map. Would have to be shoulder season, but why not? Also: with Ultimate XC shutting down, void in the Quebec trail race series, could a big Adventure Run take that spot with a Sprint at Tremblant be the day before?

Running (Classic) 4:00:00 [1]

Long, epic ski with Jaker from P17. It was long. There was a portion on a snowshoe trail that was not really enjoyable. Also Ski Go Universal Klister, whilst it had a pleasant pine tar smell, did not actually work at all.
