Orienteering Training 1:10:00 [2]

Sprint training for Nationals at U of A. I'm sure I was the only person who didn't attend or work at U of A.

Cycling 1:15:00 [2]

Ride in the river valley on a grey blah day. Stuck to gravel and bike trails, but a few on the normal trails and they weren't too wet. Got my shoes/cleats mega muddy while climbing up to some stairs.

Running 1:05:00 [2]

Morning run on Saturday. Nice and warm, body felt mega tired after a long week.

Just a wee run after work.

Cross-country skiing 1:15:00 [1]

Back in Edmonton after being on the road for a week to Newfoundland and Toronto. First time I've spoken at a conference which was opened by a Premier (thank you Premier Wynne).

Dryland Training with Edmonton Nordic. Some ski striding, Spenst and Ulf taught us the word for "Moose-hoofs" in Norwegian and we did a sort of striding like that. (Ulf's Norwegian accent is a Northern farming one, which is why he wears a hat all the time he says).

Ankle did not enjoy ski striding at all.

Anyone have any advice on how to log coaching?

Running 45:00 [3]

Decent hard little run in the valley. Really nice temperature.

Cycling 1:20:00 [2]

Nice gravel ride with Will in the valley. Some really fun trails and only bailed once (up steep hill when I accidently clipped in).

I should just commit and buy this bike:
58cm Colnago Scandium Cross bike, Dura Ace 7800, FSA cockpit asking $1200

Note

No training but watched the Tour of Alberta.

Peter Sagan is very very fast.

Almost got run over by Cadel Evans on his way to the start.

Cycling 1:30:00 [2]

Mountain bike ride in the valley on a wicked sunny day. Stuck to bike trails, mostly gravel but hardly any single track. Legs and body felt night and day better than yesterday.

Tour of Alberta starts on Tuesday. The only hill on the course is by the Leg and it will be a piece of cake for these dudes.

Looking forward to watching Mike Woods ride. He wasn't too bad of a runner, part of the Canadian - Michigan connection:

Orienteering Training 1:50:00 [3]

It was a great day for a run.

However, not a fun or very good run. Gas tank on zero from the start.
