Running warm up/down 45:38 [3] 7.33 km (6:14 / km)
shoes: Icebugs Spirit OLX 2

Sussing out the course/drills before and warm down with various people after.

Running race 29:26 [5] 6.76 km (4:21 / km) +72m 4:08 / km
shoes: Icebugs Spirit OLX 2

Chirnside Borders XC. Not feeling the freshest after yesterday's session but another good course which was new to me. Fun twisty woodland paths, downhill first half and tough pull all the way home.

Running warm up/down 30:30 [3] 5.2 km (5:52 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

6:45am, as only time of day which worked, took a gel to help. Nice to be down home home after London.

Running tempo 45:00 [4] 9.49 km (4:45 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

3x12mins (3mins). Understandably have felt better, a number of contributing factors but another good session in the bag. Tough headwind up the Bongate each time and a few dogs on first lap but other than that had the place to myself.

Orienteering 20:59 [3] 2.81 km (7:28 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrine 7

Control collecting at Selkirk Hill. Nice to ease the legs after this morning but tired after not sleeping well either night in London and early start today.

Spinning 40:00 [3]
shoes: Nike

Flight delayed, traffic bad into town, then train down to Borders, back at around 8:30pm. Ate on the train so could try out Dad's new turbo trainer for my fix (tougher than expected and good to have for training.)

Running 57:09 [3] 9.74 km (5:52 / km)
ahr:145 shoes: Asics GT-1000 4 (2)

Morning touristing after chat with Rhona last night, nothing too busy and a change of scenery. Proper daylight all the way! Waterloo, South Bank, Westminster, St James Park, Buckingham Palace, Green Park, Hyde Park Corner but turned back before Hyde Park itself as only wanted an hour, at least I know there's scope for more. If I'd been down on Tuesday there was orienteering so will look out for that. Carnethy still hanging about in the legs, front loaded week slightly so not had the ideal recovery. Bit of cross training once home but no running until weekend saving tempo for home (quieter and fresher legs).

Wednesday Feb 13, 2019 #

Running 53:49 [3] 9.4 km (5:44 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4

Super early as all training had to be this morning, legs took time to get going but moving alright by the end.

Strength and Conditioning 30:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4 (2)

Running warm up/down 17:00 [3] 3.0 km (5:40 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4 (2)

Still rushing, despite no yoga as train to catch.

Tuesday Feb 12, 2019 #

Running 38:31 [3] 6.55 km (5:53 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

Not quite all in the dark now :), inc. drills.

Running intervals 20:00 [4] 3.81 km (5:15 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

20x30secs (30secs), nice short but beneficial session as legs still recovering. Felt better than last week but tough headwind on final straight kept things fun.

Yoga 35:00 [0]

Can't make class tomorrow but lcouldn't really afford to drop this session as legs needing this so on my own at home. Actually prefer this release so wasn't too bad.

Monday Feb 11, 2019 #

Running 34:00 [3] 6.0 km (5:40 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4

Doms, doms, doms.

Strength and Conditioning 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4

Adding to the doms...but also lots of mobilising.

Running 57:39 [3] 10.08 km (5:43 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4 (2)

Kept it flat so unexciting but legs needed to move.
