Warm up, between sections, to meet Mum and warm down.
Legs (hips particaularly tight) and body tired today, good block, time for an easier week.
Borrowed Laura’s map and chose to run most of BW course I missed yesterday, steady but nice to have something to focus on rather than just an easy run. Disappointed to have missed it as really enjoyed it and think I could have really smashed it!

Controls 1-3 then 23-finish from BW yesterday.

Another long race in the hills! Devils Burden leg 2 paired with Dad. So much fun (although I wasn’t thinking that on descent off West Lomond). Tough leg and in wind and rain but Dad and I are well matched as I am stronger on uphill and flat sections but he demolishes me on downhill. Good feeling passing lots of teams, missed one small route around last hill in the mist but navigation pretty good. 37/167 on leg. Team all enjoyed the race despite our dnf on last leg.

Big Weekend FWTN. Just chilling cruising round as another hard day planned tomorrow. Course was interesting for the limited area they could use but still not a huge fan of night o. Right foot a bit tight, eased off when released calf.

3x10mins (3mins) with Sophie and Amy. Body has obviously recovered as smashed it this week and feeling good (little dip on final one though but kept it at right effort). This has been a really good block of tempo.

Inc. drills, legs actually feeling ok until I tried to move them faster. Nice way to spend a lunch hour, actually training in daylight!!

Similar session to last week but only 800m at same pace as expected legs and body wouldn't want to move fast and I predicted right. Biting cold win on home straight.
5x800m (2mins) @ PB 5km pace.
Glad to have a planned focus rather than beating myself up, although I did think it would feel slightly easier! Good to get a beneficial session while still recovering, hopefully becoming efficient running at this pace.

Substituted SL drives for jumps and didn't push the weights but still got a session done.

HFW via Roseburn Park. Keeping it easy just stretching the legs out after sitting at desk all day and wouldn't have had time for much more anyway as had squad call to be back for.
