Note
(rest day)

Up at 4:25am UK time, 3hours+ in car, then flew to Glasgow. Split up the journey back by meeting Abi for a late lunch. I always make time for training but haven't made time to catch up recently so this was a great opportunity and was really nice. Train home and early night, would have been running just to say I had, back to usual tomorrow. Stomach not the best - bulgar wheat on Friday and then pasta last night not being appreciated.

Running warm up/down 23:05 [3] 4.46 km (5:11 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrine 4

Orienteering 15:20 [4] 3.56 km (4:18 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrine 4

Mass start gaffled sprint with Alice and Charlotte in housing estate in Tartu. One of the most fun session I've done recently, wish I could bring this confidence into my individual orienteering.

Orienteering 20:23 [3] 3.43 km (5:57 / km)
shoes: Saucony Kinvara TR2

Tartu, cruising. Wasn't disciplined enough and took a few bad routes.

Running 3:37 [3] 0.66 km (5:29 / km)
shoes: Saucony Kinvara TR2

Back to car, warm today - in complete contrast to when we arrived.

Note

Couldn't get to sleep last night then woke up super early - seems like I wasn't the only one though! Mixture of overthinking and not enough darkness.

Friday May 12, 2017 #

Running 10:35 [3] 2.24 km (4:43 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4

Waking up the legs with Charlotte from the accommodation.

Running 40:52 [3] 6.11 km (6:41 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Sayonara 2

Inc. 1x90secs and drills.
Quarantine so lots of running in circles. Then back in and forth after but at least had company then.

Orienteering race 18:01 [5] 3.98 km (4:32 / km)
shoes: Saucony Kinvara TR2

Polva - WOC sprint test. Can take positives. I ran this for experience - I need experience of this kind of pressure which can't replicate at small races. I coped much better than past few races so step forward but still a long way to go.

Orienteering 17:19 [3] 2.74 km (6:19 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrine 4

Up at 2:45am, travelled to Riga then on to Otepää. Ran the Euromeeting course (minus the bits in the Biathlon centre as it was locked). One lapse in concentration but generally went well and good to get out. Managed to dodge the snow showers.

Running 6:00 [4] 1.07 km (5:36 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrine 4

2x90secs (3mins between, inc. drills) - slight slope but no people to get in the way. Legs feeling good.

Wednesday May 10, 2017 #
