Orienteering warm up/down 15:00 [2] 2.0 km (7:30 / km)
shoes: olway speed

Warmed up with Harriet we went for a run along the road at the bottom of arthurs seat. Then ran to the start but we went the wrong way so were well warmed up. Blister killed couldn't walk properly when I first go out of the car but slowly began to run. Constantly rubbed against my shoes but decided to go out and just take it easy.

Didn't warm down....bad I know but just wanted to take my shoes off:)

Orienteering race 1:15:59 [3] *** 5.7 km (13:20 / km) +470m 9:26 / km
spiked:14/18c shoes: olway speed

Blue course at Arthurs seat, part of the burns weekend.
Couldn't run very well, if it had been an important race i'd have ran through the pain but I didn't see the point in making my blisters any worse so treated it as training. Ran where I could but just rubbed more and more as I ran on the terrain.....quite gutted as I love the area, it's my favourite I think. Broke my control description holder at the start so was glad I wasn't proper racing. Tried to get my navigation spot on and only really made little mistakes and kept catching up this guy who was running fast but making mistakes. Control flow was good:) and it was such a nice day....unlike what was forecasted so apart from my feet I enjoyed it, finished higher up than I had expected.
Unfortunately gained more blisters in the process....nice.

All in all and fab weekend though:) and I beat dad on legs both days....!

Note

prelims start tomorrow. oh the joys.

Orienteering warm up/down 30:00 [2] 3.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: asics pink

Warm up ~ jog, drills and sprint with harriet and dad.

Warm down ~ jog with dad.

Orienteering race 59:17 [4] *** 6.3 km (9:25 / km)
spiked:28/30c shoes: asics pink

Edinburgh City race, amazing:)

Set of steady but then messed up number 2 when a woman told me that it was a dead end and couldn't get out so instead of looking at my map and realising the way I was going wasn't I turned back and ran off silly, ran about and then relocated of a control which luckily was mine:P lost about 3mins so yeh i'm not making excuses and blaming someone else it was my fault. Messy on 3 too didn't read the map or description. Rest was basically good and looking a split was running well:) spiked 28/30 basically so gutting the ones I didnt spike I lost lots of time on!

Really enjoyed it but got BAD BLISTER....had to remove my shoe as soon as I finished stung like mad, kinda covered it up enough to warm down but o-shoes wont be good on it tomorrow:(
