Paddle 1:20:00 [3] 10.0 km (8:00 / km)
shoes: V10 L

Started at Red Herring and paddled upriver and upwind into a 20kt easterly - managed to keep the ski moving but only just. Got up to the end of Blackwall reach and then spun expecting a blast back downwind but the tide was coming in so it was still hard work with tired arms and some messy chop.
2 PM

Walk / Jog 39:47 [3] 5.0 km (7:57 / km)

Really enjoyed todays course - it was just the right level of challenging for my speed.

Felt I did okay apart from some wobbles at 6-7, going to the top of the wall at 10 (sounds like most people did though) and not realising I could cross the fence at 16. Did lots of walking at the start as my legs warmed up and was mostly jogging towards the end.

And home into a stonking SWer. Just kept the pedals turning over and finally made it home.

I think I need to replace my pedals - they are making a very loud squishy noise which is getting me some strange looks...

Walk / Jog 50:00 [3] 5.5 km (9:05 / km)

Through Kings Park with the wednesday night running crowd...well with them for the first few minutes anyway, then they sped off into the distance and I decided to go find somewhere that wasnt a horrible concrete path to jog on.

Succeeding in finding a boggy sand track about 10mins in and ran up and down that for another 10-15mins. Then I found I could happily jog on concrete once my joints had warmed up so jogged up the law path. Then I realised I havent jogged for a while and thought it might not be a good idea to do too much so I stopped and walked to the end.

Was a bit depressed to find out everybody else had run 10.5km in the time it took me to do 5.5km - lots of work to go catching up.

It was lovely jogging in Kings park in the dark.

Pizza and beers after - Mmmm

And home again. Saw the trapese and can confirm Wal was not just drunk and hallucinating on his last trip home.

Paddle 1:20:00 [3]
shoes: V10 L

Was feeling a bit tired and flat after a hard day at work so started in the first grid. Managed not to get left too far behind but had some biffs at the turn marker when the grids behind us would catch us just as we were turning. The last time when I was plenty wide for the turn I got herded into the marker, got cranky and went for a swim.

Cycle 50:00 [3] 17.0 km (2:56 / km)
shoes: Shiny red road bike

Rode over to watch Wal do the Coogee Ocean Adventure (which was really just a tryatholon with a paddle stuck on the end). He had forgot to tell me the start location had moved from where I did the Coogee tri a few months back so I went there first and then had to navigate the maze of road closures and an unecessary detour through Hamilton Hill to finally get there a few minutes late.
