Slack weekend. Went to the training camp sprint today and did the course set for their camp champs. Made 2 silly mistakes. Having made the map I looked at the control, assumed I knew where it was and headed of the way I knew to get their. Missed the best route and ran down the wrong steps both times. Bit of a wake up so started concentrating. Knowing the map meant I could read ahead and this made for far better navigation. Will have to work on map memory skills so I can plan a leg and then read ahead when I am confident I know where I am going. Cant compare splits as I seem to have dropped of the winspits system. Must be that there is no course for mappers.
