Orienteering 1:00:00 [3] 6.0 km (10:00 / km)

Finaly got to run the course I put tags out on 3 weeks ago. Kido ran the course, I picked up the tags. Except for the Jaapanese sprint champs on Sun. that was our last run in the forest in this country. Enjoyed the maps and the orienteering greatly. Need some of this type of terrain in Aus. Very challenging and very good maps.

Running 1:15:00 [3] 12.0 km (6:15 / km)

Running from Mishima up and over hills with Kido to show her the sights. Went via one of the long pretty uphill gullys and then visited a wasabi farm. Another one of those runs that takes 50 minutes to get there but only 25 to get back.

Swimming 20:00 [3]

Went to do a long session at the pool with Kido. After 20 minutes they tried to tell us that we had to get out and go. We got the message in the end but comunication is difficult. Turns out the pool closes at 12:30 and opens again at 1:30.

Orienteering 1:00:00 [3]

Rob printed out sprint maps of the area around his house with the Japan selection trial sprint course for this year on it. I put out markers and Kido ran the course. Quite tough! Very hilly in places and lots of steps. Interesting thing was the markers. Triangular tubes made out of milk cartons about b4 size. Triangular bit of red paper taped on them. Unfold them and stand them on the ground at the control spot. The best thing was the very public places I stood them and they were stil in the ame place when we picked them up. This was in a time when all the kids were walking home from school. Can't see them staying put in Ballarat at 3:40 pm.

Orienteering 1:40:00 [3]

Back out to a map near Fuji. Used the same course I ran on my second day in Japan. Put out tags for Kido. She did a loop with no tags whilst I tagged the rest. Seem to be getting better at runing in this terrain. Love the areas I have run so far. The maps, according to Kodo remind her of New Zealand.
