Orienteering 1:10:00 [3] 9.0 km (7:47 / km)

Set a course for Judy and Aislinn out at Skippers Dam. Small amount of field work done in this area but most of the contours and vegetation are fairly general and based on the 1:20000 map. It was still possible to set reasonable courses and make it an enjoyable experience. Even the dog behaved but he did roll in something dead which made for a pungent trip home.

Orienteering race 1:16:00 [4] 8.0 km (9:30 / km)

Ran the Bendigo event. Bermuda Quadrangle. Always like this area and it was the area of a Vic Champs Win. Did not go as hard as I should have I suppose but still managed to make mistakes on a couple of controls. Caught Kido at 1 even though she had quite a lead on me. Let her go and thought she was way ahead but she turned up again at 7. On my own until 14 when she came up from behind again. On my own again until to my surprise she passed me again on the way to 20. Finished the event only to discover I passed her again and was finished for a few minutes before she turned up. I was not surprised when she refused to discus the course with me.
Was great to run on a very challenging course for all controls. Thanks for all your work by you and your team Neil.

Ran in Melbourne today with Kido. While she did intervals I timed them. Even managed to muck this up.

Running 58:00 [3] 11.0 km (5:16 / km)

Out to surface hill dam with the dog for a run on the tracks in the area. Lota and lots of fallen trees over tracks out here too. Bloody dog scared up a fox and I had to stand still for a while calling until it decided it was not going to catch it.
