Orienteering 1:21:00 [3] 7.8 km (10:23 / km)

With Judy exploring a new section of the Enfield Forest. Mostly private land but never used. Lots of open areas surrounded by bracken. Was hard going in places so lots of walking. Feeling very tired today.

Mountain Bike 1:38:00 [3] 18.5 km (5:18 / km)

MTB ride from home and then rode Sullies single tracks. I say tracks as I rode 3 different ones. Thought it would take longer. Either I am getting better or just getting to know the course.

From Aislinns with Aislinn and Conan along the river and around the Tan. Was just a little warm. Seriously distressed by the last k so did a bit of walking. Off to the cricket now.

Running 46:00 [3] 7.3 km (6:18 / km)

Jog from home with Aislinn, Lian, Kyhil, Ted and Ingle. Introduced the group to the grim reaper loop. Managed to keep up for 2/3 but started to drop off by the end.

Orienteering 57:00 [3] 6.5 km (8:46 / km)

Set course for Aislinn, Conan and Judy near home. Set it as 2 3k loops from the car park spot. I hung tapes for the 2nd loop and Aislinn hung them for the 1st. Did both loops and was back at the car first which surprised me. I do know the area well but the old bloke still wapped the younguns.

Hung tapes for Judy and Jeanette in central Bunninyong then followed around and picked them up. Very tired by the end. Not sure why

OA Junior Dev. Camp. Did the 5.5 K course on Nerina. Only 2 silly mistake. 1 I followed.the wrong person and 2 couldn't find the flag on the ground. Should have been more confident. Overall I was OK but still walking up all the hills. Map is still pretty good. Small vegetation changes needed.

Grim Reaper loop. Did a lot of this at under 6 min pace. Did not want to go out so surprised myself. 2 min quicker. 2 easy days and then a day off makes a huge difference.

Orienteering 20:00 [3] 2.5 km (8:00 / km)

Slack weekend. Went to the training camp sprint today and did the course set for their camp champs. Made 2 silly mistakes. Having made the map I looked at the control, assumed I knew where it was and headed of the way I knew to get their. Missed the best route and ran down the wrong steps both times. Bit of a wake up so started concentrating. Knowing the map meant I could read ahead and this made for far better navigation. Will have to work on map memory skills so I can plan a leg and then read ahead when I am confident I know where I am going. Cant compare splits as I seem to have dropped of the winspits system. Must be that there is no course for mappers.

Set sprint training for the National Junior Camp at FU. Did my running hanging tapes and then collecting them again.

With Judy on North Winfield. Did some exploring and mapping. Very slow and a bit tired. Did a lot of walking

Orienteering 45:00 [3] 7.0 km (6:26 / km)

In Kyneton to do Macedon ranges Park and Street O. Was keen to do this as I work in Kyneton and was interested in their map of the gardens. Was a bit dissapointed with this. Was just a street O event on a very basic map. Not a big fan. Was hoping for something more like a sprint.

Rode Sullies single track to the top of the hill. Picked up all the tapes from Sun bar 2. Ran out of time. For those who know or car "YEAH" the honda is finally going. No water leaks, no oil leaks and no bad squeeks. At last!!!

Grim Reaper loop. Very tired after yesterdays MTB riding. Picked up the tapes from yesterday that were on my track. Cut it a bit short to get one of the tapes. Wasnt sorry

Mountain Bike 1:38:00 [3] 20.0 km (4:54 / km)

Up early to hang tapes for the MTBO course I had set for our pre Eureka get together. Long course was planned at 15k. Knew something was wrong when I had done 15k and still had controls to put out. I was not putting out the whole course and was placing controls in a far shorter process than the course itself.
I think one person who did the long covered 30k. Those of you who have set courses in a rush will know what I have done. Embarrassing.

Hanging tapes for Judy and then exploring the tracks and gullys of the area. Lots of stopping.

Mountain Bike 1:25:00 [3] 18.0 km (4:43 / km)

MTB ride from home. Rode the new single track to the top of the big hill and then went exploring the tracks on the very north section of the map. Making sure they exist in preparation for our Eureka Sun event.

Orienteering 1:24:00 [3] 8.0 km (10:30 / km)

With Judy and Ted on the north or Napoleons end of the Enfield Map. Once again exploring the section that has poor contours (no lidar based great contours) Hung tapes and then ran back and forward exploring and helping Judy with her course. Lots of new motor bike and MTB tracks.

Orienteering 45:00 [3] 6.4 km (7:02 / km)

In Creswick with Judy and Jeanette. I hung tapes for them on my ever developing Creswick map and then ran around again to collect the tapes. Was ok for most of the first loop but tired going into the pick up phase. Just plodding by the end.
