Orienteering 1:06:00 [3] 6.7 km (9:51 / km)

With Judy and Ted on the map near home. Hung tapes for Judy and then explored the Northern edge of the map. No ready made 2.5m contours for this section so trying to get the Gullys and hills the right shape and in the right places. Failing.

Ran from home on the grim reaper loop. Felt pretty grim to and was slow.

Orienteering 1:32:00 [3] 6.0 km (15:20 / km)

Did not record my time or distance for today. Should have worn my GPS. Started on the SMB map at 6:45 putting out controls. Did not sit down again all day until I had collected controls and got in the car at about 4:00pm. Event went well and was appreciated by all. Some small difficulties with some lines not cut carefully enough, one set of steps could have done with a thicker line on the edge, M14 course way to short and some of the older classes a bit long. Overall well received event.

Orienteering 30:00 [3] 4.5 km (6:40 / km)

10 min w/u then did the AM SIS at FU. Actually felt the best I have for a while. Easy course with no errors.
3 PM

Orienteering 35:00 [3] 5.0 km (7:00 / km)

10 min w/u then did PM SIS on the new west section of FU. More open with a lot less buildings. Was really slow tired and sluggish for this one. Easy nav with no errors, just slow. Needed a compass for this one. Those who were careless with it payed the price.

Orienteering 30:00 [3] 4.0 km (7:30 / km)

Ran M60 course for Vic Champs at SMB. Really struggled physically(so many steps) may have something to do with 1 and 1/2 hour bike ride last night. Course is probably a bit long so will have to modify. May be of interest that this course has half the climb of course 1.

Mountain Bike 1:36:00 [3] 18.0 km (5:20 / km)

Decided to go for a 50 min mtb ride to check out the extension to the mtb track I found. Ran into the track builder John Sullivan who's kids I coached as swimmers. He was so excited to see someone on his course he rode with me. That picked up the pace a bit. He kept convincing me to do the next short loop to his course. Said it was just up the road. Took 20 min to ride to a spot on the road I could have done in 5. When I finally got home Judy was out in the car looking for me. Oops!

With Judy and Ted not far from home. Hung tapes for Judy and then went back to meet her followed by some exploring. Found a series of pink tapes through the forest. Looks like someone is starting a new Motor Bike Track
