Orienteering long 2:06:28 [3] 22.47 km (5:38 / km) +150m 5:27 / km
ahr:163 max:178 shoes: VJ Integrator

Long distance orienteering at Zonienwoud, Brussels. Forest was covered with snow (so were the roads, a reason that some top runners didn't show up). Running was in a team of 2. I was together with Dries VDK, who forgot his orienteering shoes, so he ran in normal running shoes. This was not a very good idea. I think I was physically a bit stronger than Dries. This combined with the wrong shoes and pain from him made it for me more easy. I didn't need to push and after half course we were in the lead (2 guys were in front of us but they had no team mate, one of them eventually was disqualified by punching a wrong control).

Very nice long training. After this I drove towards Landgraaf for snowboarding. 4 hours extra on the board made my day quiet exhausted.

Orienteering race 39:18 [3] 7.3 km (5:23 / km)
ahr:169 max:179 shoes: VJ Integrator

night orienteering at Prinsenpark, Retie. I started bad. Came at the first control and saw this was not my control. After running around there I found out I had the control description of last weekend so I was actually already at my first control. Lost around 1'30-2'. No control description so special care at every control. I was classified so ok, good technical training. Then the cold was getting me, my hands were frozen and the concentration was like the temperature, below zero. Made more mistakes (9th-13th-14th). The 14th was actually completly misplaced. This also affected my route towards the 15th as ou can see. I was planning to go on the path but I ended up next to the marsh.
Finished 15 seconds behind Wannes. Thomas made a 6' mistake at the 14th control which is really a pitie because we are in a excited race for the overall criterium.

Running long 1:31:08 [3] 18.25 km (5:00 / km) +120m 4:50 / km
ahr:129 max:167 shoes: Asics GT-2130

SLOK training. I first did 5 tours on the finnish track (1km) together with Jeroen H. in 25'35.
Then we started easy with An, Hanne and Dries for the normal tour. After we left the girls we started running faster (4'20-4'30). At the climb at 'Zoete waters' we did an acceleration.
Running went suprisingly well. My average heart rate is also quiet low. The shape is slowly coming back.
