Running warm up/down 25:00 [2]

Warming up for start of the Spring Relay. I did some fast intervals.

Orienteering race 58:43 [4] *** 11.4 km (5:09 / km)
spiked:24/25c

Spring Cup relay at Tisvilde Hegn Vest. I totally missed my start and had to pass several men. I made a mistake at the first control due to the many people that where running here. Then I quickly found a good group for my shape. I didn't miss a control so at the end it was only me and a guy from OK Tisaren that were left. I finished as 43th and my team was at the end 57th.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]

Cooling down again to the see with Jeroen VDK who was warming up.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

Warming up for classic course at Spring Cup Tisvilde Hegn Vest.

Orienteering long 1:15:26 [5] *** 13.6 km (5:33 / km) +180m 5:12 / km
spiked:23/25c

Classic distance at Spring Cup. First control I immediately lost about 1 minute. Compared to the rest this was not very bad because others lost here lots of minutes. At the 4th control I caught up Sebastian Wester from Sibbo Vargarna. We ran together till the finish although we had often different route choices. At the spectator control I was in front of him and lost him, but then I made a 20 sec mistake and he was back. I was 46th at 155 participants so I am very satisfied with this result.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]

Cooling down to the see with Desmond, Thomas and Jeroen VDK.

Running tempo 32:54 [4] 6.0 km (5:29 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-2140

In the next episode of 'I help scientists because I am a scientist' I was a volunteer for a master student. In the M3-Biores building I did a physical test for Stephan Bobbaers. The test took place on a tread way. We started with 7 km/h and each 3 minutes it went 1,5 km/h faster till 17,5 km/h. This was the max speed of the test. It was already quiet hard for me, certainly when I became a bit to the back I touched the wall. Pretty scary. I ran the 3 minutes on 17,5 km/h and then stopped. He measured lactate, breathing parameters and running movements. Next week on wednesday I will do the second test. Now I will run part slow followed by a part right above the lactic border. This cycle we do a few times. He wants to see if he can get the same parameters out of this less intensive test so top athletes don't have to do such intensive tests anymore to measure their fitness.

At the end I ran at decreasing velocity to cold down.
