Still haven't attempted a run yet since the last one a few weeks back - hoping continig with stretching an exercises on glutes hip flexors will sort this out
full range of glute/hip mobility, stretches and strengthening exerscises in front of the athletics

Hips/gait analysis:
CHRONIC PROBLEMS:
during long walks - ^TFL pain = weak glutes & quads, ^hip stiffness
poor leg strength - inability to step up high steps, poor control & shaky legs descending
poor balance - legs tire on uneven ground
tight quads & hip flexors
ACUTE PROBLEMS:
recurrent hamstring niggles esp in mud eg XC
recurrent episodes of piriformis pain
recurrent adductor strains
recurrent episodes of pain on inside of knee
WHEN:
most of these problems tend to occur when stepping up distance beyond 10k
